Frequently Asked Questions

What is hotshot trucking?

To simplify, hotshot trucking takes LTL (less than truck-load) or partial loads with one specific customer in mind. The route and schedule is committed to a single customer. A CDL is only required if the gross tonnage weighs more than 26,000 pounds.

What do you haul?

The freight we haul is always different. From construction equipment, recreational vehicles, building materials, lumber, steel, pipe, rebar, machinery, palletized freight, tractor, golf carts, shingles, cars/trucks, generators, foam, shipping containers, precast concrete, stone, rail, lifts, and other forms of general freight – we transport just about anything.

What is the pricing like?

Pricing depends on various factors. Generally, hotshot trucking is priced per mile and set by a specific driver. Keep in mind, hauls are always unique depending on when, where, and what. There is a variable of fuel costs, miles per gallon, time sensitivity, and if there’s a request for a return haul.
